Step 2: Creating the

Calendar's Framework.

To create a calendar, start with the Table tool. Draw a table with seven columns and eight rows for your calendar layout.

Step 3: Merging and Aligning

Cells.

Select all columns in the first row of your table and click “Merge selected cells” on the toolbar. Ensure you set the appropriate text alignment for the cell.

Step 4: Filling in the Calendar.

Enter the first letters of the days of the week in sequence in the second row. Remember to apply the right formatting, including changing the color for Sunday to red and bolding the letters of the days of the week.

Step 5: Formatting the Table.

Highlight all the table cells. Use the Border dialog box to set your preferred border style and value. Then fill the entire table with the numbers of the consecutive days.

Step 6: Creating a Year-Long

Calendar.

To create a calendar for the entire year, copy the table. For this, use the Smart duplication feature. • Select the table, • choose Smart duplication on the tool bar, • then drag the handle to the right until three columns appear. • Drag the bottom handle until four rows appear. • Use the handles to reduce the spacing between tables. • Resize the tables so they fit on the page. Now, you just need to fill in the remaining tables with the appropriate data.

Step 7: Utilizing Designs

Gallery.

We've shown how to create a calendar from scratch. However, there's an easier way to make a calendar. In the Designs Gallery, there are many ready-to-use calendars for your project, under Print/Calendars. • Open one of the calendars, • select all tables, and then copy (Ctrl + C) them to your project. • When pasting, you can use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + V to paste the tables exactly where they were in the original project.

Step 8: Designing the

Calendar's Header.

• Draw a rectangle the width of the page. Choose any color. • Draw a circle covering the rectangle and change its fill to “bitmap”. Position the circle so it covers most of the rectangle. • Clone the rectangle by pressing Ctrl + K. • Clone the circle in the same way. Move the second image and reduce its size. Position it to cover the remaining part of the rectangle.

Step 9: Grouping and

Adjusting Transparency.

• Select both images (circles) and create a Soft Group by pressing Ctrl + Alt + G. • Set the transparency of the second rectangle to about 20%. • Combining two images into a soft group means their bitmap fill synchronizes. Change one of the images to test this.

Step 10: Finalizing the Header.

• Now, select the group of images and the second rectangle, then create a regular group by pressing Ctrl + G. • Select the newly formed group and the first rectangle we created at the beginning. To do this, open the Page and Layer Gallery, select the group and rectangle, and press the Q button to create a ClipView.

Step 11: Adding the Year.

Adding the year is a simple task. Use the Text Tool and format the text appropriately by setting the right font and color.

Step 12: Final Touches.

• Add a narrow rectangle at the bottom of the page for decoration. • Select and align all the months correctly. • In this project, to make the month names more visible, change the cell background with the month name to a dark color and the text to white. • You can transfer the formatting of the entire table to other months. Select the first table and press Ctrl + C. • Then, select each month and press Ctrl + Shift + A to paste the formatting.
